Students in Columbia Public Schools (CPS) return to the classroom on August 23.

CPS Superintendent Dr. Brian Yearwood tells 939 the Eagle that the district is looking at revising its strategic plan. Dr. Yearwood will be starting his second school year as superintendent.

“This is a five-year plan and we definitely will be inviting our community and our parents in, our businesses in. Because as we look at the future pathway, we must be able to understand what the thought processes are out there so that we can better impact our scholars within our schools,” Dr. Yearwood says.

CPS kindergarten students will start on August 25.
