Governor Mike Parson has declared a state of emergency after flooding caused water rescues in northwest Missouri.
While Mid-Missouri officials do not believe we will see significant flood damage, everyone is advised to be taking precautions.
The National Weather Service reports the Missouri River is expected to crest on Monday. The rising water could cause issues for sections of the Katy Trail and certain highways in the area.
