JC mayor feels impact of coronavirus restrictions

Jefferson City mayor Carrie Tergin runs a Hallmark store downtown. She says she’s felt the impact of the coronavirus just like everyone else.

“When we initially put the restraints on the restaurants…I chose as a small business owner, even though I’m in retail, to follow those same restrictions of doing curbside.”

Tergin says she will decide whether to mostly reopen her business, with social distancing and occupancy restrictions, when the statewide stay-at-home order expires May 4.

City Hall at the capital is one building that will reopen on May 4, with no more than 10 people at a time allowed in the lobby.
