Jefferson City High School Students were sent home early Thursday after a water line break in the building.
The district announced it had to shut off the water to the entire school because of a “break within a non-occupied lower level in the building.”
Administrators let student and parents know students were to be released at 1:30 p.m., and ran buses early to account for the action.
All events the rest of the night were also cancelled. School officials said there was no safety concern, and the high school was the only building affected.
