Columbia’s newly-elected second ward councilwoman Lisa Meyer took the oath of office last night and was sworn-in before many friends and supporters at city hall. Her campaign focused on law and order, public safety and getting CPD fully staffed. CPD is currently 37 officers short. Councilwoman Meyer joined us live in-studio on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”, telling listeners that public safety remains her top priority. She has a lot of gratitude as she starts her council term and is grateful for this opportunity. Councilwoman Meyer also tells listeners that she’s building focus groups in the second ward:
