The Columbia Board of Realtors says median home prices in Columbia and Boone County hit all-time highs in June.

The Board of Realtors says the median home price in Boone County in June was $355,000, while the median price in Columbia was up 11 percent to $375,000. The report also says building permits in Ashland are up 31 percent this year.
Columbia city manager De’Carlon Seewood has said that Columbia is grappling with a housing crisis, due to an overall shortage of housing. He says there is particularly a shortage of affordable housing for families and individuals.
