You have until Aug. 17 if you want to apply for a license to grow or sell medical marijuana in Missouri.
Lyndall Fraker with the state health department tells Missourinet that smoking the plant is still popular with patients in other states, but use of edibles is on the rise.
“Especially with the patients that don’t want to use it in a smoking form or a vaping form or something like that.”
Fraker says some medical marijuana patients will consume it via oils and other means too.
The state plans to issue licenses to 348 medical marijuana facilities. The first legal medical weed sales will probably happen early next year.
