Missouri state offices closed on Friday, for New Year’s holiday

Most Missouri state offices will be closed on Friday, to observe the New Year’s Day holiday.

New Year’s falls on a Saturday this year, so state offices are closed to observe the holiday. Most of Jefferson City’s 14,000 state employees will have Friday off.

Corrections officers will be working in prisons, and emergency services such as the Missouri State Highway Patrol will also be open.
