A grand jury indicts a Moberly woman accused of killing a Jefferson City man in a Columbia fast-food drive-thru.
Angelica Benitez is accused of second degree murder and armed criminal action. Prosecutors say she shot 25-year-old Marqukis Hayes inside a truck in the Columbia Clark Lane McDonald’s drive-thru in Dec. 2019. Her truck was found abandoned near Saint Louis a couple days later, with Hayes’ body in it.
Benitez is due back in court on Feb. 22.
