Columbia-based Emery Sapp and Sons (ESS) has been selected as the design-build contractor for the project.

The state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says open houses are planned on Monday March 2 from 4-7 pm at Boone Electric on Rangeline in Columbia and on Wednesday March 4 from 5-7 pm at Midway Golf and Games. You can arrive at any time and ask questions and make comments.

MoDOT expects construction to start this spring or summer with completion of this phase in late 2029. MoDOT says the $441-million project will rebuild I-70 between Rocheport and Columbia and will add a third lane in both directions. ESS also plans improvements to the I-70 interchanges at Stadium, the Business Loop, Providence, Rangeline and Highway 63.
