No arrests in shooting on West Bellview, outside of Columbia

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating Tuesday’s overnight shooting in the Bellview subdivision, near Scott Boulevard. This area is outside Columbia city limits, near the MKT trail.

Sheriff’s Captain Brian Leer tells 939 the Eagle that an adult male was shot, suffering non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say multiple vehicles and multiple apartments on West Bellview were also struck by gunfire.

Sheriff’s investigators say the shooting involved multiple firearms and shots from at least two different locations.

939 the Eagle listener Scott Acuff has posted on our Facebook page that the incident happened outside his bedroom window, writing that “bullets went literally everywhere.” Mr. Acuff saw people running away and a vehicle leaving.
