Officials warn of elevated fire risk

Local fire officials are asking you not to try any controlled burns until at least mid-week because of dry and windy conditions.

Boone County crews dealt with 11 different natural cover fires on Saturday alone. One of them burned about 45 acres.

Forecasters say rain chances start Tuesday night, and continue the rest of the week.
