A Boonville woman is dead after a crash at the Missouri River Bridge.
Troopers said Chantel Winfield, 35, lost control of her car on the icy roads on Wednesday morning. Her car hit a concrete barrier and returned to the road.
While it was still in motion, Winfield tried to get out of her car when it was hit by a semi.
It slid off the road and she was ejected from the car. Her body was recovered on land below the bridge.
A small amount of wintry precipitation caused several slide-offs and crashes all over mid-Missouri, starting early Wednesday morning.
