Recycling collection delayed in Columbia

The city of Columbia said Thursday that the solid waste utility was not able to collect all fiber items set out for recycling due to equipment failure and a staffing shortage.

This is the second day in a row that similar issues delayed the collection of some of those recycling items.

Crews plan to collect the missed items on Friday, and the city asks that you leave the items on the curb.
