Mizzou gave a warm welcome for Desiree Reed-Francois on Wednesday at the Faurot Field Columns Club. The Tigers’ new athletic director spoke publicly for the first time since being hired for the job this week.
Reed-Francois says she wants to lead the Tigers to more SEC championships.
“I know this is the Show-Me State, and I know that our actions and our results will speak louder than my words, but I know this league, and I know we can do this,” said Reed-Francois.
Reed-Francois signed a six-year contract with Mizzou and will make $800,000 a year. She is the first full-time female athletic director in the school’s history.
