Robbery suspect pleads guilty to 2017 Columbia holdup

An Oklahoma man has copped to a multiple crimes in Missouri last year.

Darrell Black pleaded guilty Tuesday to robbery, brandishing a firearm, having a firearm as a felon, and having a stolen firearm.

It all stems from an incident from May 2017 when Black hopped the counter in the lobby of the Staybridge Suites hotel on Columbia’s Keene Street.

He took a couple hundred in cash, got away and was chased down later that day in Jefferson City.

Mandatory minimums will keep Black in prison for at least 7 years.
