There are more budget concerns for Columbia city officials.
They learned during budget work on Monday that sales tax revenue is on track to drop more than expected this year. They were planning on 1.75%, based off the city manager’s projections. But through August, sales tax revenues have been down 2.37%.
That will probably lead to more cuts than expected in parks and recreation and other areas.
