Search for missing Columbia woman could cost $500,000

(AP News) The search for the body of a Missouri woman presumed to have been murdered by her husband could cost at least $500,000.

Columbia authorities believe the body of Mengqi Ji was dropped in the Lamine River after she disappeared on October 8th.

Now Ji’s family has reached out to Missouri’s congressional delegation asking to tap into money from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help fund the search.

Her husband, Joseph Elledge is currently in jail with first degree murder charges.
