Two people have serious injuries after separate accidents on the Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday afternoon.
Highway Patrol troopers say 84-year-old Carolyn Baas of Grand Havens, Michigan was hurt when rough water on the main channel caused her to slam against the boat she was in at about 1 p.m.
A man from the eastern Missouri town of Sullivan, 22-year-old Jake Lochner, was badly hurt when his SeaDoo hit a wake and ejected him on the Big Niangua arm at 2:51 p.m.
The large offshore boats that create these dangerous wakes should never have been allowed on LOZ. They have ruined the lake for a large majority of the recreational boaters.
