State awards licenses to medical marijuana test facilities

Ten Missouri companies have been awarded state licenses to test medical marijuana products.

Two are in mid-Missouri: Inovatia AgriTesting Services in Fayette, and ClearWater Science LLC in Kingdom City. See the full list here.

The sites will test the patient products for dangerous bacteria and verify levels of THC, according to Missourinet.

Missouri voters legalized medical marijuana last year. The state expects sales to start early next year.
