State records second-highest coronavirus case increase, Cole County matches record

Missouri saw its second-highest increase in confirmed coronavirus cases Friday.

The state reported 662 new cases and 13 more COVID-19 deaths, for a total of 1,064.

Missouri’s four highest reported coronavirus totals have come in the last four days.

Cole County reported another 13 cases Friday, which matches the record-high increase the county set Thursday.

Boone County reported 31 new cases Friday, while Saline County reported eight new positives and Audrain County confirmed three new cases.

Moniteau and Saline counties both reported one new case.
