Two people involved in a crash on Forum Boulevard are arrested. Police say that car was tied to some trouble hours earlier.
Investigators got word about a domestic assault in the Columbia Mall parking lot at about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The Cadillac connected to the call was gone before they got there.
Officers then learned about a possible trespassing at the Break Time on W. Vawter School Rd. at about 1:46 p.m., involving that same car. They spotted the Cadillac on Nifong, but the driver sped off.
Officers located the car again on Forum Blvd., and initiated a chase. The car wound up in Hinkson Creek near Wilson’s Fitness.
We do not know the names or condition of the people arrested yet. CPD says one of them had an outstanding warrant.
