Mr. Ruebling died last week, after battling prostate cancer.

Columbia resident Scott Charton notes Mr. Ruebling co-founded the Phat Guys open golf tournament with former Boone County commissioners Don Stamper and Fred Parry and Larry Schuster. Scott notes last year was their 18th straight, with just one rainout. Mr. Charton notes that golf tournament raised more than $200,000 for charities, including Pascales Pals at MU’s Children’s Hospital.
