Trash fire reported after fireworks show west of Columbia

Fire authorities respond to a trash fire resulting from used fireworks.

ABC 17 reports firefighters put out flames in a dumpster at Midway Heights Baptist Church west of Columbia early Monday. Investigators say firework debris wasn’t fully extinguished once being put in the trash after a firework display that night.

No one was hurt.
