A convicted felon from South Carolina will be arraigned Monday morning here in Boone County on first degree murder charges from a more than 26-year-old case.

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway’s office filed first degree murder charges against 45-year-old Sentrell Wilson in February. He’s currently jailed without bond in Boone County.

Court documents allege that Wilson asphyxiated the victim in February 2000 before fleeing Missouri. The victim was Mizzou student Candice Richie.
