UPDATE: Columbia murder trial continues this morning at Boone County Courthouse

A Columbia murder trial will likely go into Friday now.

Additional prosecution witnesses are expected to take the witness stand this (Thursday) morning in Isaac Bryant’s murder trial: he’s charged with second degree murder and armed criminal action for the May 2022 shooting death of Demetrius Ware in the 800 block of Columbia’s Grand Avenue.

939 the Eagle News was in Boone County Circuit Court again on Wednesday for part of the trial. Columbia Police digital forensic specialist Chad Craig took the witness stand. He’s a 28-year CPD veteran.

Many potential jurors told the court this week that they have tickets for tonight’s Mizzou football season opener. That could mean we’ll see closing arguments on Friday. It’s unclear if Bryant will take the stand.
