A TSA employee in Columbia who is charged in federal court with attempted production of child pornography is now in the custody of U.S. Marshals.
64-year-old Daniel Meenehan appeared in federal court for a detention hearing this week before Judge Willie Epps in Jefferson City. Meenehan has been bound over for grand jury action.

He was arrested and charged last week after a months-long investigation by federal Homeland Security agents in St. Louis and Boone and Miller County Sheriff’s deputies. Federal prosecutors say Meenehan allegedly made 41 transactions to minor victims in exchange for nude images during a one-year period.
If convicted, Meenehan faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison.
