Jefferson City-based Capital Paving has been awarded a $104-million project to rebuild I-70 between Boonville and Rocheport and add a third lane in both directions.
The 13-mile stretch of I-70 is between Highway 5 in Boonville and the Rocheport bridge. This is all part of the $2.8 billion bipartisan plan approved by Missouri lawmakers to rebuild and expand I-70 between Wentzville and Blue Springs.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says a groundbreaking ceremony on the Boonville to Rocheport stretch will take place this spring. MoDOT crews are currently working on the I-70 stretch between Columbia and Kingdom City. Columbia-based Emery Sapp and Sons was selected as the design-build contractor for that more than $400-million project.
