Columbia Public Works crews are continuing to work around the clock to keep priority roads passable and to reach as many residential roads as possible.

Columbia Public Works spokesman John Ogan tells 939 the Eagle that temperatures are now about 32 degrees, which is positive.

He says sunshine and warming temperatures should help to active road salt and to create slushy conditions, so the crews will focus on those routes to clear roadways of slush as the afternoon continues.

Ogan warns that roads can get slippery in that slushy condition, so they’re urging you to drive slowly, especially on curves.

Keep your radio tuned to 939 the Eagle for updated road conditions, in our hourly newscasts.
