Jeff City getting back on track after tornado and flooding

Yes, the tornado and the flooding cost Jefferson City big bucks.  But no, the city isn’t going broke.

“I don’t think citizens can expect decreasing services at this point.”

Council Rick Mihalevich says the twin disasters cost the city about $4 million. But he adds the city had a rainy day fund balance on hand of about $6 million.
