Autopsy to be performed after human remains found in Boone County Conservation area

Boone County sheriff’s deputies say human remains discovered late Sunday afternoon in the Rocky Fork Lakes Conservation area are believed to be that of Angie Rice.

The 45-year-old Rice was reporting missed in December and her vehicle was located in the conservation area. The investigation into her disappearance and death continues.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says the body has been turned over to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

The Rocky Fork Lakes Conservation Area is six miles north of Columbia, near Highway 63.
