More than 600 people turned out for Thursday morning’s Missouri Governor’s prayer breakfast at Jefferson City’s Capitol Plaza Hotel.

939 the Eagle’s Branden Rathert served as the emcee, and the James River Worship provided music.

The interfaith event is held every year, and faith leaders from numerous denominations were represented at the breakfast.

The purpose of the bipartisan breakfast event is to seek God’s guidance for state government leaders at the start of session.
