A Boone County business owner is suing the health director over local coronavirus restrictions.
Paul Prevo with Tiger Tots Child Development Center is one of the people who backed a recent letter challenging Stephanie Browning’s limits on business. They think the county should just follow the state’s guidelines. The letter was written by attorney Matt Woods, who is also representing Prevo in the lawsuit.
“As the public health director, your job is to protect the public health. You’ve done that to a degree. But now that our hospitals are having to lay off people that’s not protecting the public health anymore.”
Prevo’s suit filed Monday calls for a temporary restraining order against the Boone County restrictions. Listen to his full interview on Tuesday’s Wake Up Columbia:
