Columbia HBA home show returns for first “normal” event since 2019

About 3,000 people are expected to attend the Columbia HBA home show, which is today (Friday) and tomorrow at the Holiday Inn Executive Center.

Because of the COVID pandemic, this is the first “normal” home show since 2019. Event organizer Brad Young of Tiger Town Home Improvement is excited.

“I think it’s something that is good for the community. It’s a great way for people to start looking at projects they’re wanting to do around the house coming into the spring,” Young says.

There will be 80 booths and 60 vendors at the home show. Today’s hours are from noon to 8 and Saturday is from 10 am to 6 pm. 939 the Eagle’s Branden Rathert will be broadcasting live from 3-5 this afternoon.

“Come to one place over a couple of days, spend a couple of hours if you want, spend eight hours if you want, and go talk to all of the contractors and wholesalers, distributors of all the products that you would need,” says Young.

The cost is $5 for adults, and children 12 and under are free. There are also a dozen companies participating in a job fair at the show. You can hear the full “Wake Up Columbia” interview here.
