MU Health Care says the new $232-million Children’s Hospital being built in Columbia will open in 2024. MU Health chief executive officer Jonathan Curtright presented a detailed report Thursday to the UM Board of Curators.
The hospital is being built near Hitt and Lake streets, on MU Health’s main hospital campus. The facility’s aim is to help the system create one convenient and centralized location for all hospital services.
The new Children’s Hospital will also have special outdoor areas for children to play, along with flower gardens and additional places to relax.
