Columbia’s city manager to deliver budget message today

We’ll learn details this (Thursday) morning about the Columbia city manager’s budget priorities and any changes he’ll recommend.

City manager De’Carlon Seewood will deliver his budget message for fiscal year 2023 at 10 am at city hall. You’re invited and encouraged to attend the briefing, which will take place in the council chambers.

Columbia’s current budget is about $460-million.

Mr. Seewood’s proposed budget will be introduced at Monday night’s city council meeting and is scheduled to be voted on in mid-September. You’ll have three opportunities to testify about the proposed budget at council meetings, with the first being the August 15 meeting.
