Columbia’s popular IHOP restaurant remains closed this morning, following Thursday’s fire.
A 939 the Eagle reporter found a sign on the restaurant’s front door on Sunday, which reads “Closed until further notice.” Columbia assistant fire chief Clayton Farr tells 939 the Eagle that the fire caused about $30,000 in damage. It began on a stovetop grill.
Columbia firefighters say smoke was visible from IHOP’s exterior, when firefighters arrived Thursday morning.
