Columbia police confirmed Tuesday recently recovered human remains belong to Mengqi Ji.
Authorities said those remains matched the Columbia woman’s dental records. A hiker found the remains at Rock Bridge State Park on March 25. Police said DNA tests are still pending.
Mengqi Ji had been missing since October 2019. Prosecutors say her husband killed her. Joseph Elledge is in jail on a murder charge.
