First responders to reenact simulated plane crash at Columbia Regional Airport today

Ashland-area residents and motorists driving near Columbia Regional Airport will notice a number of first responders at the airport Tuesday, for an emergency training exercise.

City officials say volunteers will reenact a simulated plane crash while emergency personnel practice their response.

Today’s exercise is from 4-7 pm, and will include Columbia Police and Fire, the Southern Boone and Boone County Fire Districts and Boone County office of emergency management.
