Look for some changes soon, in how Columbia health officials report COVID numbers

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department says it continues to see the highest number of cases they’ve had during the entire pandemic.

Health officials say that as they’ve seen an increase in positive COVID cases in the past few weeks, there’s also been an increased workload for staff members.

Health officials plan to change how they report information, to make it feasible to staff members while still providing key data to the public.
