MU announces 515 more furloughs, seven more layoffs

The University of Missouri announced more furloughs, pay cuts and layoffs in its latest round of budget-saving actions during the coronavirus pandemic.

The latest update says 515 more employees have been furloughed, 232 more have taken pay cuts and seven more have been laid off. The numbers include workers at both MU and MU Health Care.

In addition, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources is cutting $3 million from its budget, resulting from some voluntary pay cuts for administrators and phasing out the Food for the 21st Century program.
