MU Health Care says its pediatric emergency team at Women’s and Children’s hospital on Columbia’s Keene street will move to University Hospital on Tuesday.
The relocation is one of the first steps toward creating a centralized hospital campus. MU Health says parking will be offered in University Hospital’s parking lot, in front of the emergency entrance.
MU Health broke ground in October on a $232-million new Children’s Hospital project.
MU Health says the new pediatric emergency space will be solely dedicated to children with kid-specific care teams, equipment and décor.
MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital is Missouri’s only hospital facility that’s dedicated completely to children.
