Prospective Mizzou student rescinds enrollment after video surfaces

A prospective Mizzou student as rescinded her enrollment after video surfaces on social media showing her appear to mock the death of George Floyd.

Two high school students are seen on the video. One is putting her knee on the other’s neck, while that student says “I can’t breathe.”

“University leaders and I remain committed to combatting discrimination and racism in all its forms. We stand with Tigers everywhere and with the thousands of other people who are peacefully raising their voices and want to make this world, this university, an inclusive place for everyone. We have important work to do,” University of Missouri System President and interim Mizzou chancellor Mun Choi said in a statement released Monday.
