Climate change will be the focus of U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack’s Monday visit to Jefferson City’s Lincoln University.
He’ll speak this afternoon at about 1 to discuss what he calls the Biden administration and USDA’s commitment to combat the climate crisis by partnering with agriculture, forestry and rural towns to develop climate solutions that strengthen rural America.
Vilsack was the longest-serving member of President Obama’s original Cabinet, and served two terms as Iowa’s governor from 1999-2007.
