  1. I listened with great interest today to the discussion as to whether or not we should be compelled to wear a mask. I strongly believe that we have the right to choose – however, I wish people would realize that it can make a difference between life and death for someone. My son had a double lung transplant two years ago due to a problem with his immune system. He’d never smoked or been around toxic chemicals – it was just something that happened, and at the end of 4 + years he was near death. The flu or a chest cold could kill him, and doctors at Boon and Barns have warned him many times as to how much more careful he must be due to the CoVid virus. Wearing a masks are miserable. I know, because I don’t leave home without one. Neither does he. But I have to wonder how one would feel knowing that because they refused to wear one, someone died. Even if it were not so important for my son, I would still wear them because I wouldn’t have to wonder if, by not doing so, I possibly caused someone to become ill or die. We can’t know if we’re incubating the virus and wearing them is a small price to pay for a life – uncomfortable though it is.
