Columbia/Boone County Health officials announce changes to COVID reporting dta

Columbia and Boone County health officials say the surge in COVID cases became unmanageable during their previous data reporting system.

The health department has announced that it will no longer report the number of current active cases and will no longer report the number of Boone County residents hospitalized. They’ll still reporting positive case hospitalizations in Boone County hospitals, which includes Boone County residents.

Health officials say 415 Boone County residents tested positive for COVID on Monday, which is the last day they have records for.

Health officials say that so far in 2022, there are 10,348 positive COVID cases in 27 days. That compares to 15,086 cases in all of 2021.
