Columbia man pleads guilty to marijuana trafficking

A Columbia man has pleaded guilty to his role in a conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Blake Johnson, 24, was accused of receiving high-grade marijuana from Augustus Roberts and distributing it to his co-conspirators. Roberts was found shot to death on Lasso Court near Old Hawthorne golf course in 2017.

Johnson’s U-Haul truck, which had more than 800 pounds of marijuana, was stolen. CPD found it a day later and seized all the drugs that were still inside.

Johnson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole. He is the fifth person to plead guilty in the case. , along with Christopher Bradshaw of Harrisburg, Nader and Osama Yanis of Columbia, and Dylan Blake of Columbia.
